MA Student at The University of Bolton & Artist at Neo: Studios

Current Statement:
My practice evolves around the documentation and investigation between found drawings and the aesthetical and textural qualities they embody. My curiosity lies within the finding of these enigmatic traces and their potentials for creative influence which are explored through painting, printmaking and photography.

Previous experiences and recurrent influences in abstraction, colour and gestural mark making, my work aims to endorse and investigate the features of the subsequent ghost mark whilst simultaneously forming a discourse between traditional analogue styles and modern digital methods.

By digitally capturing these exposed, generally overlooked marks, my work generates a further dialogue between the authentic human touch and mechanical mark, successively providing a platform to explore themes of materiality and physicality in contrast to immediate documentations of documentations. In response to the everyday mark the resulting compositions materialise abstracted and ambiguous.

The work ultimately aspires to illuminate the everyday unobserved imprint.
